Default Warranty???

I recently contacted DC concerning my remaing warranty on my RT. I purchased the car last December. It was a demo from up north that a buddy of mine at a local dealership found for me. The car had 450 miles on it plus the 1200 it took to get it to TX. DC told me that there was a little over two years left on the warranty and a littleoversix years on the powertrain. The problem I ran into is that the lady for DC told me I would have to get the warranty transfered into my name, costing $150. I dont mind paying the money, but it seems since it is a factory warranty and not extended this really shouldnt be neccessary. I am the first owner of the car. Any similar experinces??????

Default RE: Warranty???

I purchased a demo 05, and I did get the extended warranty, but, as far as I know, I was covered for the original warranty even if I didnt extended it, so I think someone is tryin to screw u. Maybe find another local dealer and see what they say, then contact Dodge.

I bought a used '05 and in order to transfer the 7/70 you need to pay a $150 fee. It states this in the warranty handbook. I got lucky and they forgot about it until the last minute and the dealer went ahead and picked up the charge for me since thepaperwork was already filled out.
