Default Oil Pressure Display?

Sorry to retread old topics, but I thought I once saw a reference on this forum about "tricking" the computer to display oil pressure on the display if you have the steering wheel control/info center option package. I've forgotten the button combo suggested, but I tried it at the time without success.

Is there a way to do this that anyone has tried that did work?

Thanks!

To display oil pressure (as well as a lot of other cool stuff), press and hold the compass and musical note buttons down for about six seconds. The temp display area will show speed, rpm, and engine temp. Scroll with the up and down arrows and find other stuff like oil pressure.
Anyone who knows what some of the other odd stuff means, feel free to let everyone else know. Some of it is a little confusing.

This is very cool. Although I can't decipher everything provided, it does appear that throttle position as well as steering wheel position are among items displayable.

Thanks again.

By the way, is this access described in the manual? I don't recall seeing it and haven't looked specifically for it.

It's not in the manual.I told a DC mechanic that I did it and hewas a little surprised I knew about it, but said it was just something the programmer threw in there, they don't use it for diagnostics or anything.
