Default 383 wont start!

Had my Sport Fury (64') for a week now and am still tying up loose ends so to speek, she had been starting on the first crank everyday this week until today! She cranks over and you can smell the gas but she's not catching, i don't think there is a spark!

The night before I had driven her out of the garage and washed the engine down to get rid of the last 8 years of grime, she started fine when i drove he back in the garage, but today nothing!

Any suggestions on where to start? Coil, did i ground out the plugs, what about a relay, which ones to check? I don't have a service manual yet, it's in the mail!

Any suggestions to get her back running would be helpfull!

Thanks Mike B
64' Sport Fury
72' MG B-GT
58' Triumph TR-3A

P.S. Where is the fuse box located? I can't seam to find it? It does have some type of fuse system right?

Check the ballast resistor- it's the white ceramic block on the upper fire wall. Sounds like that's the most likely culprit.

Pop the distributor cap see if it's damp inside. Mopars always had weak ignitions and a little water inside the cap means no go. Even the electronic ignitions would succumb to this. The cop cars had a rubber boot that fit over the distributor cap and body to keep water out.

Trans cooling lines should be steel unless somebody cut them. Be sure to get hydraulic hose or power steering hose to replace the bad hose. Gas line rubber hose degrades from trans fluid.
