Default 66 Barracuda info

Hi guys
new here, but have probably a common question.
Trying to find out more info about a 66 Barracuda I have.
Its not an S model, but has the 273 v8 2v in it, matted to
a stock 4 spd.
There are two codes on my fendertag I cant disyfer, also
trying to find out where the motor #s are on my motor and
what they turn out to be..
and out of 9,192 2v v8 cars made that year, aprox how many
where 4 spd cars (with AC too...)
I live in Tucson, and the cars a nice rust free Az car, just recently
started the restoration.
Thanks in advance for all the help.

code 393 = 4 spd
code 411 or 414 was typical for A/C, though others.

As Mr340 says, give us codes we'll see what the Forum knows.

A/C & 4spd cars as general rule are relatively low production (unusual for the time) but I do not have exact production #'s

Ifyour wanting to check and see what motor you have in it, the numbers are on the drivers side of block behindwhere the starter bolts on. then on the block in front drivers side where the head bolts to the block scratch off the paint and it should have it stamped there.(a piece of chalk is handy here)then if you want to see when it was made look on the passanger side up under the exhust manifold about the second plug and you will see when it was made.hope this is of some help.

The "1" under the "S" indicates AC if I'm reading Govier's book correctly.

The other "1" at top of tag is "Sold car"

The "8" under the Z is for "buffed car" only applicable w/ AA1 silver.

Hope that helps
