Hello Friends i hav an Valiant 79 with slant six but I want put a motor train of V8 but i have a problem because I think that theengine is LA360 but another friends tell me that is LA318 could you help me?, the diameter of piston is 3.59 inches, please help i dont know if is 360 o 318 and what kind of this engines is better? i put this pair of photographs, thanks for your info and sorry by my spell.

The engine size is cast into the block on the right side. I don't see any LA block with a 3.59 bore, the closest is a 273 with a 3.625 bore. the 360 has a 4.00 bore and the 340 has a 4.04 bore. The 318 has a 3.91 bore. get some pics of the block casting # up here.

 

Thanks is correct iĀ“ts a 318 with jacket liner, you know, I need a 360, do you think that a 360 of a truck with only 2bbl carburator can give me the same power with modifications of carburator of 4 bbl?, or its necessary a car block?,
