Default Late model alternators.

Anyone tried running one of these Late model alternators. like off the Ram, or Neon, whatever, on there old mopar. I'm seriously considering it due to the loss of rotating weight.

Any thoughts?

I've heard of doing it, but I never looked into it yet. It would be a great idea and it would hopefully solve the flickering lights when sitting at an idle in traffic.

The rotating weight is a non issue for all but "All out race cars" The power gain in amps is what its all about. Not weight or rotating mass. You may need some small parts, IE connectors and possible wire lengthing.

I've already converted the car to a late model, dual field alternator. That solved the dimming light issue quick.
