Default Need some help, 1977 Dodge 400 6.6L acceleration issues

I hope you can help. I have had all the fluids flushed and exchanged such as oil, transmission, coolant, as well as replaced all filters. The battery is in excellent condition. The starter works well and the alternator charges the battery just fine.

Where I have a problem is during acceleration. It idles decently but going up any kind of hill I temporarily lose any kind of power. Then it comes back, then goes, then comes back until it dies .

I figure it has to be something with the carburetor, distributor, spark plugs?, or fuel pump.

What would be your recommended course of action? I would like to try to solve it myself as I dont overly have the cash flow for a shop mechanic and I enjoy tinkering.
