That is an original style. The billboard blackout with the engine callout was an option on the '71 Cudas. It's a really big decal. I cannot see it well enough, but it appears to be a 440+6(+6=3 2bbl carbs/the Dodge version is called "six-pack").

Thank you. The early '70's Mopars had an overwhelming amount of decal options for most of the muscle cars. Back then they also had options and not option packages. You got to pick or delete anything or everything. My Roadrunner for example, it had 5 different engine options and some others had more. Name one car today with that many engine options. It could have been optioned with chin spoilers and/or a rear spoiler. It could get an air grabber hood where the pop-up(yes pop-up, when the car isn't running it closes) hood scoop was vacuum operated and hood pins. It could get strobe stripes that go from rear wheel well to rear wheel well over the roof and/or strobe stripes from the front wheel wells up over the fenders and into the hood recesses where the engine call outs are. And the list goes on and on.

That is a good picture of the Fast and the Furious Charger. Just so you know it is a '70 Charger and the Challenger from 2F2F is a '70 Challenger. I'm with you on that one those are indeed real cars with real power.

My favorite Dodge's would be the Charger from FF or the Challenger from 2F2F and the Charger Daytona. My favorite cars ever are the 1969 Mustang BOSS 429, 1969 Shelby Cobra GT500KR with the Paxton Supercharger option, and the 1967 GT500 from Gone in 60 Seconds.

Hmm... I thought I remembered the F&F charger to be a '68, but it's been a while since I saw the movie. I do remember it had an old Hemi in it, not the 426.

My fave- 1964 Plymouth. Savoy, Belvedere, Fury... whatever. No question: super stock is where it's at!

I am a very huge muscle car fan, matter of fact I got my cousin liking Mopar muscle cars so much his first car is this 1969 Dodge Coronet 440. (For those who don't know much about Mopar muscle cars, the Coronet 440 was a trim package not an engine package... the 440 trim package came w/ either the slant six or 318ci) Now his car has a late 360CI w/ cam, headers, dual exhaust, and other mods...

My Favorite Mopars Muscle Cars...

1.) 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona/1970 Plymouth Superbird

2.) 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T

3.) 1970 Dodge Charger R/T-SE

4.) 1970 Plymouth HEMI Cuda

5.) 1969 Dodge Coronet Super Bee

1968 stripper 426 4speed 4.10 Dana black runner. No options none. Rubber mat, radio delete, standard steering, standard brakes. Black, black, black.

The billboards were the tape package for the 1971 cudas. They came in 340/383/440 (for both Super Commando and 6 barrel) and Hemi. At the time they were considered too gaudy and a lot of 'cudas were ordered either stripe delete, or they came in the trunk. Today its a different story where they are highly prized along with the high impact colors.

First a Panther Pink 6bbl cuda

and a not great billboard shot
