I need some advice on searching for an old car. I would like to find a Dodge carthat was owned by my parents back in the 70's. Would anyone have any clue on where or how I would start searching for this vehicle to locate it? Thanks</P>

You might try the Bureau of Motor Vehicles as well. A friend of mine would like to find his fathers 71' GTX but has no info, he does however have a couple pictures of it showing the tag. Maybe their records go back that far and maybe not, but it's worth a shot.

I appreciate the info RoadRunner. I do have the original window sticker for this car that shows the vin number which should help considerably. I am just not positive which state the car ended up in. It was purchased new in Michigan so I suppose I will start there. </P>

Thanks for the help.</P>

You may also try Galen Govier, he does fender tag decoding, broadcast sheets and window sticker. He also keeps tabs on where Mopars are and who owns them. Here is his web site:
