The only way to determine what car it came from would be to match it up by the VIN stamped on it to the car it came from. There is no way to say exactly what car make or model it came from, but you can find out what year the motor is and what version it is.

Normally the first letter is the engines year code, but the letter T corresponds with the year 1963 which the 440 wasn't even in existence yet, they were built from 1966 to 1978. So it would seem that it instead stands for the only other thing a T before the engine displacement means, it's a T for the truck 440. These numbers are hand stamped so there is a chance of error and there should be nothing after the engine displacement on the top line, so the E is also odd. The only E code that should be in the top line is the year code which is for1969. An E in the bottom line would be for a cast crank. The 1122 on your middle or secondline is the engines build date as it would be on a 10,000 day calander.

Check it carefully for any other codes there, some can be very faint and require paint removal to be read. Give me the block casting number so I can narrow it down more accurately, it's the numbers on the side of the block, usually a 7 digit number but it's not always just 7 digits.

The 1122 is not making sense either. Here is the 10,000 day calculation:

"Day 1122 in the Mopar 10,000 day calendar is 8/23/1964"

You guys ever consider the fact that somebody sold a 413 as a 440?

Never crossed my mind, seeing that the stamping says T440E.

That's right, the 440 part is pretty cut and dry. No chance of it being a 413.
