Default short throw shifter

i think this was posted on here before, but i just want confirmation before i do this. to install the mopar STS, all you need to do is take out the center console, detatch the two black cables (which have annoying black clips) unbolt it and it comes out? then just install the STS. it makes sense, but i thought the shifter was also connected, below? thanks

yes sir, you would be correct. If you don't have a problem taking the black clips off you can do it in 15 minutes. I suggest some good pliers and then just pull like crazy.

Yup, no problem. Got questions when you go to do it, give me a holler and I'll help ya. Its pretty easy and straightforward though. You'll love it! You'll wonder why you didn't replace the stock one sooner.

well, thank you for the offer for further instructions, but fortunately, i didn't need it. as you said it's pretty straight foreward. 45 minutes later i was putting tools away. those little black clips got nothin' on me[sm=icon_sneaky.gif]. well, i'd love to stay and chat longer, but i'd really rather take a test drive. later!!!!!!!!!
