Street racing just adds to trouble and you can kill someone and yourselve. Me I dont care about racin just about showing off my sxt just like all you should be caring about seeing how your neon looks Box and you dont really have the mods to race either turbo is race worthy anything else well .

 

What should I do with under my hood?

 

If u do street race, don't do it on a road with others around. Don't even do it on a small road. I rarely street race but when I do, I'll do it on a highway where it's empty and a straight shot.

 

id be willing to be that g35 coupe handles better than a neon

 

I'm sorry to say but, no regular car (especially a neon) will handle a corner at 100+mph with stock suspension. Its just not happening, and there is no way in hell that your "wing" adds that much control if any lol. Thats just me throwing in my two cents, and for the whole street racing thing... heres a good clip.

if neons are so slow then why are there so many fans??? in the last week ive been told most cannot go over 100 my ford tempo got up to like 90 and it sucked dick but my neon does get up to its top speed pretty quik though i havent got the 0-60 yet becuz of the no speedo but at the beginnning of the month ill get a new oil pan and a Speed Sendor and will let you know on my 0-60

Depends on the corner and a stock ACR has very good handling.

 

ok so i have a 1995. 5 speed neon. sohc engine completely beefed up. pistons cam all the main mods you can do next step i have is either nos or turbo. well one other thing i havent found a iceman cai which has been killing me cuz thats like one of the firsst things people do anyways. mines pretttty quick. and its accomplished some things that many people would say a neon shouldnt be able to do. but heres the list. headers, high flow cat, pacesetter dual exhaust, crane cam, je forged pistons and rings 10.5:1 ratio, plymouth breeze throttle body bigger than stock sohc tb. aftermarket clutch, bored over .20 uh and all the other basic **** when you get the performance rebuild. i think i may go for nitrous becuase turbo is quite expensive and i dont really feel like putting more money into the car and i get alot of bad feedback about turbos as much as i would like a bov. i have plenty of crazy stories. and its got alot to do with the driver as opposed to the car. also hurst short throw shifter with booger bushings, along with polyurethane motor mounts.(my car rattles like a beast). and theres prolly more that i just cant think of right now lol. i must say its a pretty sweet car, a sleeper too, none of that stupid body kitting and whatnot. and the wing if anything would just be slowing you down because youre car is fwd and wing = downpressure on back tires making it as if theres more weight in the back.
