The company I worked at was a strategic partner with EST. They have some good panels, their IRC3 and EST3 are good as long as the instalers and programmer know what the F they are doing, They have a new one out for small areas that really suck. I have serviced simplex and notifier before.

That is wierd about the bypass. I know that a few panels out there had a timer, if you were testing and had it in test mode and everything bypassed and you didn't have actrivity after so many seconds it would go back into normal mode. That was a pain in the ***

This day was a little better but go truined the moment I went and got the mail. Apparently Colorado doesn't seem to think I have car insurance so they are threatening to suspend my registration and DL if I don't show proof in 30 days. WTF!?

Why are they saying this? Because Colorado keep s a database of all registered cars with insurance to make it easier for them to spot people without insurance. Which I hate to say it is mainly illegal immigrants and minorities.

They can't seem to find any record of my insurance and the reason being? I'm registered in Colorado but insured in NJ. I've got an insurance card and everything. I frickin' hate the way they do things in this state sometimes.

At any rate. I'm sorry to disagree with you Tech, but EST sucks too. I have never run across a single Edwards panel that was user friendly, including the ones that were programmed correctly.Especially the EST3 it's garbage. I've seen the newer ones that you are talking about. A lot of what they've done has been taken directly from Simplex panels. Since there have been a lot of guys from Simplex who ended up at EST after the buy-out.

I never had problems with a well installed EST panel, but don't care anymore since I am out of that business.

You mean them TYCO people. They are a major competitor of the company I worked for. They were trying to buy my old company because they have the best reputation for service on fire alarm and nurse call systems in So Cal. They bought the first company I worked for in the nursecall side.

It is funny that hospitals and business buildings would complain about pricing and go somewhere else, thena few months later come back because whoever they wen't with would "F" everything up. That is one thing I can say about my ex company is they prided themselves with doing it by the book

The company is TRL Systems. It is amazing how many companies out there cut corners and get away with it. Heck even EST themselves would sub contract us to fix their clients panels sometimes.

That's really bad for business, especially if something happens. Fire alarm systems including sprinkler is not something to screw with because when something goes wrong that wasn't properly checked people die.

Hey I know about bad days. I had to goto a wake for my mothers best friend, went to an unemployment appeals hearing with my EX-A hole boss and his 2 minions, got a letter that I have to goto a drivers retraining course in the mail, and then to top it all off I got pulled over for having aftermarket exhuast on my car (evidentlly everything other than stock no matter how loud or not is illegal in CT) and the cop threatened to tow my car as well as held me up on the way to the wake to search every inch of my car and tell me about every little thing that he could write me a ticket for on my car, the only good thing is that he gave me a "verbal waning" for everything. So that was my Bad day, lol

Sorry about the loss.

I know about being pulled over for the exhaust thing. I got nailed in Colorado Springs for the same thing. They wanted to impound my car too. Those laws are unecessary and retarded.

And I know how you feel about getting DMV things in the mail. I got one yesterday, apparently Colorado doesn't think I have car insurance. Well, if that's the case how did I get a speeding ticket instead of having my car impounded the other day? I showed the cop my insurance card. This state is f0ckin' retarded sometimes.

I'm from Connecticut. I have had, 2 tickets in 3 years, which requires you to goto a retraining class which is $60 and a bunch of BS.
