Its not going to move far at all with the parking brake on. Even if the parking brake isn't on it still won't go very far. It will just lurch forward a little bit.

Its not like its going to roll away. Its going to lurch forward and stop, haven't you people ever forgot you were in gear and had the brake on and let the clutch out, I have when I was learning. It lurched forward a little, but it didn't roll down the street and run people over.

Well, it has happened,Usually it is small children playing in front of the car. and if you think it will just lunge once and just die then you have never driven a manual 4x4 that have the bypass button for the clutch switch used for hills, if you keep the key in the start position, therefore having the the starter on at all times it keeps lunging until it starts. It would be the same as with the remote start. Hold in the button too long it will keep tring to start therefore lunging the vehicle, There are also rretards out there that don't use the Ebrakes.

i've seen it happen. my buddy has remote start on his subaru. he used to think it was funny to leave it in gear and try to start it. the thing would keep lunging foreward and start rocking back and forth. it was sorta like watching a cheap washing machine move across the floor. he got a kick out of it until he had to replace his starter. kinda scary, though, if you think about kids being around it.

Yeah I suppose. Sounds like there are a lot of people who shouldn't have remote start then.

hmm i dont think a neon is going to be a 4x4 going up hills monster so i wouldnt worry about the remote start on a NEON..maybe if he had a monster truck that wuold actually move when trying to start it in gear...and the kid wiht teh subarau sounds like an idiot...i would understand if it was a piece but who would mess wiht a car like that if its nice, you know it would have been mesing up **** doing that over and over...
