he tested my broken window that was replaced and never retinted...

I drove away... no ticket no anything...

Oooh, In Michigan, it is illegal to tint the front side windows... but I don't care... I got two tickets in one week once, had a cop friend sign off on them and not had a problem since... thank goodness! LOL!!

my friends front side windows are tinted like 35% and he hasnt been pulled over, but he told Ziebart he wanted legal tint. he didnt sign anything.

 

Yeah, thats what I've heard from friends. Thats why I was asking. I haven't been quoted anything yet. But I hope to tint them sometime soon. I will tint the front, I don't care if its illegal, I just probably won't tint the front that dark. I see all kinds of cars with front windows tinted. Just add that to the things on my car that are illegal.

 

yea they i think they tint em a little...not enough to where you can spot it really easy.

 

I got 20% Endurance EX Its got aluminum foil type **** in it so as to be (reflective) yet not, in Idaho (where I reside) 35% is the legal maximum and a true reflective tint is also illegal... but, they are only warning about 20% and giving out $980 tickets for 5% a lot of the time 5% will fade out to a purple because the only way they can get it that dark is to dye the **** out of it. I personally dont feel that 35% is worth the effort, 20% looks ok and with the **** I have you can only see in the car from a distance up close it is literaly like a mirror (worse to see in, even compaired to limo(5%) tint) It also has a silver look to it setting it apart from regular black tint. Another thing 5% window tint actually absorbs more heat than it can reflect defeating most of the purpose of tinting. Another thing about the Endurance tint is that because it has this aluminum layer in it it dosent have to be dyed as dark (still looks as dark) but it is much easier to see out of (from inside the car) makeing it nicer at night time. The price I had to pay was 240 for back and all 4 side windows and this comes with a lifetime guarantee, it was like 180 for the regular tint.

Also most of the info about the 5% was what the man said, not my own personal knowlage (if there were no laws my car would have 5% all around it. Hope this helps.

on my 03 i got 15% all the way around cept the front, cost me bout 200 if you include the $85 ticket i got for it, i wouldn't go that dark again, makes it a pain the the.... going around corners at night

 

yea i just want the DARKEST LEGAL tint all around my car
