Acr Neon better than Sport and R/T?
I talked with a friend a few days ago and asked if he had ne problems with his neon (it was a either a 99 or younger) and he said no but he said that it was an ACR and that it was better then the R/T and other ones. And a friend of the famly said that all old model neons have a history of engine problems, what should i do about this and are these statments true?
in my opinion its neither true nor false, the acr is pretty much a stripped down r/t, with the exception of the acr having a slightly better suspension and weighing less.... But, if you like a/c and some other amenities that the vast majority of the public look for than the R/T is better.. FYI, the ACR is no longer avail., it was in my opinion a perfect tuner car though.
Stock to Stock the ACR is better for racing. As far as problems go, it is not the engine that is bad. It's the headgasket. This DOES NOT include the single cams, ONLY the Dual cam models. What's wrong from the factory one is that it's paper. They are known for craping out. The best thing to do is get the new metal one that the dealership has. Or you can just wait until that motor blows up,
and swap in a 2.4 L motor!
