Default Engine Swap

I have a 98 Neon Expresso wit a blown engine. I want to drop a new SRT engine in it. Will it fit, even tho it is the older body style?????? I sure hope so.

It will fit with minor modifications. It would be one hell of a car too. But as it was said, good luck finding one, try junkyards for wrecks.

The newer stratus 2.4 is made by mitsubishi (in the coupe at least, not sure about the sedan) and is not a not an easy swap. Just get a 2.4 out of an avenger or PT those are the ones you want. They are the same basic motor as the srt 4 motor so you could start with the motor (which is a hell of an upgrade in its self) and turbo it later.

You can probally pick up a wreck with motor for $500 or less at a junkyard, or private. I don't know how good or bad the rest of you car is, but for that price the motor and trans are worth it alone.
