i was kinda more curious along the lines of 17's, my tire wheels together a really close to the same size as stocks together, stock g/y integras sucked so the ride actually feels better, and trust me they spin good lots of smoke rollin, but as far as 20's go i see where ur coming from, i wouldn't try it myself, a speed bump would be really bad news.

Dude i've seen Neon's with 19" wheels, it looks fine... Plenty of Neons have 18" wheels.. 20" wheels are only a little bigger. From far back you wouldn't be able to tell wether their 18, 19 or 20's. I am in a sense a kid.. And theres no way in hell I could afford an escalade, or i'd have one.

The only neon you have probally seen with 20's on it was at a show, not a daily driver and probally had air bags so they could drive it from the trailer to the spot. There is not way to put 20's on a neon and drive it every day, one little bump and you bent your rim. So if you do put 20's on I wanna see the pics, and I do suggest getting 8 rims, cause you'll go through them.

I also have a 2001 dodge neon, and I will soon be in the market for new tires/rims because right now i got 14's I was thinking about getting 16" would that be suitable? or should i just go with the 15s?
on a different note im planing on getting an intake but i heard that the cold air intakes can hydrolock your engine if you hit a puddle hard enough. is that true? cause i live in new england were the weather changes every f'n day so instead of a cold air i was thinking about a short ram air intake (i think thats what its called) are they any good? my friend put one in his integra and we raced the other night and he barely beat me and i got no engine mods what so ever any input would be appreciated.

15 or 16 inch rims should be fine. Yeah, cold air intakes can hydrolock your engine but you would have to not be paying attention and drive through a deep puddle to do it. Especially if you're not lowered it shouldn't be a problem, just don't go driving through deep puddles. From what I understand you have to submerge the air filter in order for it to suck up water. The short ram just sucks up hot air. I have one of those on my car right now. It's a slight improvement over the stock air box, but I'm sure the cold air intake would be better.

I live in CT, have an iceman CAI. Short of going through a puddle reving the engine you should not have a problem, at idle or low rpm, you would have to submerge the filter. If you are that worried about it there are, I forget what they are called, but they are like $50 and they stop any water getting in on a CAI.

the stop valve for water..

A CAI done the right way.. gives you 20 inches of height and you would be fine. If not... then you shouldnt be driving around there anyway lol

Also I want 17s i think on my neon eventually... I think anything more IMO is a waste as well..

But guys... seriously.. if thats what the dude wants... Its what the dude wants.. You can share youre opinion all day long but dont have to be spiteful Could also include a helpful tip or something.

And Ryan... meet Sushi... get used to him :-p

I want to see a pic of a neon with 20s if he does do it. I certainly wouldn't put them on my car, but i wouldn't mind seeing a picture of them. Definitely interesting. I'm almost reconsidering going with 16s instead of 17s, but i think I'm still going for the 17s.

Oh and the thing that stops water from getting into the engine on a CAI is a bypass valve. I've heard they hinder the performance of the CAI though.
