Mods?
Hey, Im just wondering if they make turbo kits for the 95-04 neons, not srt-4 .My buddy just got one and Im checking on stuff for him, Anything else you would suggest he do to the car to mod it?
Chill Factory and Hahns Racecraft.
Yup, they sure do make turbos for the 1st gens.
If he buys a kit there isn't much of anything he'll have to do to install it they are designed to run on stock internals. The stock internals can handle quite a bit of power before things start to break.
If he's seriously looking at a turbo then he might want to consider a fuel pump, 24lb. injectors, fuel rail. The kit will come with everything else.

yeah what good is just manifold and turbo gonna do you, you still need an intercooler all the piping, fuel pump, blow off valve, waste gate, fuel injectors, downpipe, something to control the air fuel ratio, boost gauge (yes this is needed), a boost controller (not really needed but highy recommended), turbo timer (not needed but highly recommended) and countless other little things that i can't think of. Thats why these kits are highly recommended they come with most of the parts listed above and for piece of mind the provide they are worth the little bit extra money.

Tom, I really don't think you know what you are talking about. The HRC and CF kits come with everything you need to install the turbo. BOV, Wastegate, RRFPR, injectors, fuel pump and all that.
Altima, you really don't need to run an intercooler. It's a nice thing to have but not really necessary, especially if you are on a tight budget. You also don't necessarily need a boost gauge it is highly recommended as you've already said but you don't need it immediately. And you definitely don't need a turbo timer. It's a nice gadget to have but is really not needed nor is it recommended. All it does is run the engine for a minute or so after you've shut the car off to cool the turbo. Again, you don't need it. You can just sit in the car for a minute. My brothers WRX didn't come with one, he just sits in the car for a minute or so.
But yes, the kits come with most everything you need.

I have seen "turbo kits" on ebay for 700-800, but again as has been said that includes a manifold and a turbo, then you have to again piece together all the other listed necessaties for another $2000. You can piece it together cheaper if you get deals and wait for the right price but thats time, if you want to order it today and have it on your car and running in a week to 2, order the kit and spend the money. All the HRC and chill factory kits are made for neons, tested, and proven.
