Default Can a freeze plug stop all coolent from flowing?

My 2000 Neon overheated and I had it towed to the shop. Turns out it was a freeze plug. Has anyone heard of a problem like this. My car didn't lose very much coolent at all and it wasn't dripping. However, it wouldn't move the coolent in the engine.

Thanks in advance,

Len (white2k)

Never heard of that before. Normally when a freeze plug goes you'll have leaks. But, I dunno. I've seen stranger so it could be possible.

If you blew a freeze plug you might have lost all your coolant pretty fast!!!
leaving no coolant in the system to leak or cool!!

yeah i'm gonna have to go with the lost all coolant if it was a feeze plug, short of putting in a totally wrong freeze plug and some how stopping the flow of coolant.
