My sxt came with the srt appearance package and the dual tip r/t muffler. While i was driving down the road it fell off. The dealer wont replace it wich i think is bs but they quoted me 287.99 for a new one. I'm looking for one of you newer R/T guys who wants to get rid of theirs. Thanks alot.

 

If fell off while driving? I'd be pissed if my muffler fell off while driving. Did you do something to it?

 

Nope for some reason my exhaust got obnoxiously loud and i got out to check and it was gone. I'll be contacting dodge again.

 

How long ago did you buy the car? If I were you I'd go into the dealer and demand they replace it. Otherwise, hand them the keys. Go back inside grab your slasemen and give him **** for the lack of service you've gotten. Usually, and this works best when he's trying to sell someone a car he'll get thigns done for you.

Trust me. This does work. I've done it. The paint on the roof of my 99 started to peel three days after I bought the car. So, I brought it back to the dealer to have it repaired under warranty and I was denied. I was told the warranty only cover drivetrain and lubrication. I handed the service manager my keys, told him I didn't want the car anymore. Went inside the dealership itself, the salesman who had sold me my car was in the middle of a write up for a couple at his desk. I walked over to him. Excused myself to the people who were being waited on and laid into him about the paint beginning to peel and told him in the middle of his customers that I wanted my money back and no longer wanted the car.

Got my entire car repainted free of charge. And the salesmen did end up losing a sale over it. The couple walked out while I was bitching at him.

 

Nick's strategy is basically correct. Your vehicle should be covered by a bumper to bumper 12 month warranty on everything including the paint and trim, assuming you bought a factory new vehicle. If they give you any static, make some noise, attract some attention, and get some people in trouble.

Figure up the total cost of the vehicle over the period of the loan and add in fuel, maintenance, insurance, etc.......you won't have a problem after that.......[:@][:@][:@]

i just got one the other week for my neon, i lovvve it.

the seller is great and he ships quickly too.

 

My daughter just totaled her 2002 dodge neon. On 7/25/2005 she bought a custom dual exhaust from are local muffler shop and she needs to sell it. It custom made to fit under a xenon body kit and has two chrome tips. The total muffler was custom made and has a very throaty sound compared to the lawn mower sound many of the single systems have. she paid over $400.00 installed and is willing to let it go at $150.00 the chrome tips alone are $115.00 for each. I have the picture included and can send more if needed. The muffler has some surface rust and has been hacksawed off at the connecting. You would need to figure the shipping.
