i am trying to find out the most horsepower the stock crank and rods will hold for a 1st gen 2.0

On a 2nd Gen the crank is good for 500wtq or so, and the rods are good for around 250wtq...so it should be very similar on the 1st Gen crankshaft and connecting rods.

i believe its sumwhere around there......if your planning on running alot of power then your best bet is to use the stock crank, get some eagle rods, and deffinately get some good rod and main bearings

ok now i have another question will a crank from a dohc fit in a sohc block and how much power can they hold?

thedohc crank will work in a sohc....they are the same crank..and each will handle the same power
however a crank from a 95 sohc or dohc will not fit in any other block then 1 from a 95
