I have a 97 neon, automatic, single cam. One day last week the engine started to die while driving, was able to start again a few minutes later then would die minutes after that. We got it to our friends house, but then it would not start at all. We checked engine codes and it said quite a few things. We changed the crankshaft sensor and MAP sensor and it started right up! It was running fine for 4 days then it didn't want to start again! We checked the codes again and the only thing that is coming up is the torque converter solenoid is bad. We are in the process of changing it but are having trouble. The guy at the transmission place said our car should still start if that is bad so could it be something else? Our car is not sparking at all but is getting fuel to the injectors so its not the pump or relay but could it be the fuel filter/pressure regulator, and how do you know? Any help will be appreciated, thanks!
