Default 2003 Neon Battery Replacement

Hello, I think I need to replace the original battery on my 2003 Neon. Recently the car seems to momentarilly die, then goes again. It happened 8 times in 45 minutes today. At a traffic light the engine stopped, i was able to restart the car.How do I remove the cover from the battery in order to replace it?

Thank you

First make sure your alternator is still working fine. If it is bad, your battery cannot maintain the demand ouput. IF your alternator is fine then I would recomend getting an Optima red top. It might be pricey, but it is well worth it. To take the stock battery out, you have to slip off the heat shield by removing the cables first, the shield will slip off up. then on the back of the battery at the bottom you will see a bolt that holds it in. If you want to save the headache, purchase a battery at a place that will give you a free install.

I doubt that your stalling problems are battery related. If the battery voltage was so low that it couldn't keep the car running, you wouldn't be able to restart it without a jump or a quick charge. Take it in and have it checked out before you start replacing things.
