Its pretty peppy and alot of room in the interior and engine bay. I will post pics of it in my gallery before I return it .
Everyone thought the neon was ugly at 1st the caliber will grow on you and youll start liking it eventually its pretty fun to drive . Cant wait to check out the srt4 version in the early fall.

When the Neon first came out most people liked it becaus it said "Hi!" with its cute little front bumper and rounded headlights (or something like that lol). That said I do think 1st Gens are ugly, always have, always will (sorry 1st Genners lol)....
The Caliber is just ugly also, mostly because of the fact its a tall, heavy, 4-door hatchback. If they would have made a 4-door sedan and a 2-door coupe then it would have been better...

Dodge might bring it back someday, but I see a huge styling change if they do, and I'm doubtful they would call it a "Neon." Dodge basically eliminated all the "cute" names for their vehicles and replaced them with testosterone. "Ram, Challenger, Viper, Nitro, Caliber, Magnum..." and a couple "cloud" cars... it's hard to do all that and re-market a past car that says "Hi." Ford did it with the 1st-generation Probe (1980 Mustang prototype). The 3rd-generation Probe (Which got re-named asthe Cougar at the last second to attract more buyers), and Chevy did it with theNova, which quickly got renamed as "Cavalier." Dodge even did it with the Caliber... for almost two years it was considered and called the 3rd-generation Neon, but I think there were still too many sore people out there that carried the bad impressions (mechanical problems) of the 1st-year 1st-gen Neons in the back of their mind. So, quick marketing decision gave us the Caliber instead of the Neon.
Keep in mind too that the 2nd-gen Neon had two different designs (00-02 and 03-05), and a third major design change in '03 with the SRT4. It wasn't that the Neon wasn't selling well, because it was... it was the fact that DCX got rid of the car for the sole reason that they couldn't make enough profit on it. The cost of components was too high and the sticker price was too low. In some cases (like mine) I bought my '04 brand new for $10,300... Chrysler probably had over $9500 into it just in parts and overhead.
Plenty of people like us could scream all day long for it, but Dodge will always see it as a cult following, and put their time and effort into what they have now and future models... resurrecting the Challenger is iconic and nostalgic... resurrecting the Neon is not. I love my car, but...
