Default Starting car difficult - manual

I have a 1998 Neon, manual transmission with about 50kms on it. Lately I've been finding that I have to depress the clutch really forcefully before the car will start. Changing gears during driving is fine. Any ideas before I take it in for repair? What could be wrong and how much will it cost to fix? Yuk, my extended warranty has expired. Thanks!

The clutch has a switch that when you press in your clutch it activates it so you can start the car. 2 things, it could be going bad, or it needs to be adjusted, as for price I couldn't tell you how much.

Just make sure that that switch is still sucurly in place, this is most likly the problem, other wise, its a cheeply made switch, it make cost you around 15- 25 bucks, and put it in your self if you have to.
