one more question, when any of you guyz turn your car (se) on does airbag and check engine light come but dont blink, cause they both come on for like 5 sec that is it

 

Yes, I believe that is right. My check engine like comes on for about 5 seconds that goes away. I would have to double check to be certain but I'm pretty sure it does. So you swapped clusters? If so, did it idle fine before?

 

i guess it ideled fine is was at about 800

 

That's weird...my car seems to be happiest idleing at 1.3K anything lower and she judders and vibrates, anything higher and she starts to whine.

 

my 98 is happy at 850.

 

I took a look at mine and I've noticed that when I first start up in the mornings, it will idle at around 1000 RPM's. Then after I've been driving for a while and the engine has heated up it goes down to about 500. However, if I have the heat or the ac on then it will be anywhere inbetween the two, never more, never less.

 

Yep, thats what mine does. Except mine drops to 800...not 500. I have a manual so that could be the difference as to why yours idles at 500 and mine is at 800.

Yes all those lights come on, It is probably running the self check when you start your car, so far all the cars I have owned, those lights come on. And if I rememebr even the oil light and brake light comes on as well.

 

yeah mines a MTX and i'm at 850. Yeah its normal for all the lights to come on for a few secs. they should all go off though.
