5 speed...get it, you won't regret it unless you can't drive stick.

 

I agree totally. There's nothing like running through the gears with the windows down, pedal to the metal, on a cool fall evening. Tranny will probably last longer to, even if it is a tiny bit slower.

 

98 SOHC MTX. MTX is not slower, its actually faster, if you know how and when to shift. An ATX at full throttle will shift out of the powerband, and is harder to keep there. A MTX you control the shifts and have 2 more gears, so it can accelerate quicker. An ATX is better for turbos, less turbo lag and longer gears, and does shift quicker than a MTX, but there is only 3 gears.

 

both of mine are auto love autos they are pretty fast also.stick is to complicted for me I like my neons easy going.I have nothing against sticks love to have a srt4 thats my next neon.
