Just need a Reminder
195-55-15 it almost the exact same size as the 185-60-15.
The advantage to switching, is that the 55 series comes in some performance rated sizes.
For example, what came on your neon is a "T" speed rated tire.
This means that the tire is softer, so that it makes the car ride smother.
However, the softer the tire, the worse it corners.
So if you put a 195-55-15 on your SXT, in either a "V" or an "H" speed rating, the car will handle tremendosly better.
However there is a downfall. The higher the speed rating, the harder the compound. The harder the compound, the faster the tire wears.
The R/T modle comes with a "V" from the factory, so it corners like a Porshe.
The SRT-4 comes with a "Z" from the factory. This will make the car handle like a true sports car, but the tire is so hard, that it will wear out very fast and sucks in the snow.
It's up to U, but personally, I would go 195-55-15 in a "H" speed rating. It will handle great, and not wear out to fast.

Ya, thanks. I know all about speed ratings and how they work. Don't need any help there. Thank you though. I was just curious if the size would mount on the stock wheel. I'm sure it would.
All I know is the tires on my car right now are hard as hell...they don't grip for anything. I've tried dry burnout at the track to heat them up...still no traction. They suck.
The tread wear rating will give you an idea of which tire lasts longer......a tire with a Tread Wear Rating of "340" will last longer than a tire with a Tread Wear Rating of "220"...
