I have just completed an engine swap on a 95 neon with a 2.0 sohc. last engine had a blown head gasket, and this motor was cheaper than head and head set This new engine ran in last car, so I know it is good. I am **** retentive about marking every wire and bolt, so all is properly back in place, timing is spot on, I have spark, and good pressure in the fuel rail. The car turns over but will not start. Autozones site says you must hook up a scannner and set it to "relearn camshaft/crankshaft". My question is this:
Since my scanner only reads error codes, is there ANY work around for this, or am I stuck shelling out for a new scanner?

 

i just switched out my motor this week also. ran before it was in car. but wheni put it in it wouldnt crank. changed the a bunch of sensors andit started

 

I have A 2003 Neon and want to install A 2005 srt4 motor in my car, has anyone out their done this yet? I believe all I need is the computer from the srt4, engine, turbo, wire harness.

 

CLEAR ALL THE CODES OUT AND RE-CHECK EVERYTHING OTHER THAN THAT I HAVE NOTHING ELSE I COULD THINK OF TO START IT.
