My neon has 145,000 on it. All stock, 3rd set of tires, 2nd set front brake pads at 85k; just replaced rear brake cylinders, shoes; new tie rod ends; I need to replace timing belt and possibly water pump before too long. I've averaged 35mpg and bought it in October 2005 with 22,000 miles on it. It's been a great car and still drives like new!

My 1995 Neon currently has 499828 miles on it. Sometime this week it will turn over to 500,000. A few years ago the first engine was replaced at about 151,000 miles only because the mechanic thought it had a hairline crack which I think was balony and it looked like a welding mark of somesort but I had it R/R and had a long a long block installed. The second engine has accumulated the rest of the mileage. I'm still on the first transmission and it's showing it's age and wear and tear.

I got you all beat!
My 1995 first generation Neon has over 504,444 miles and still on its first transmission. It is still in good if not very good condition, and I get 32- 36 miles to the gallon. More if I didn't have a lead foot.

I drive a 2000 Neon ES with just over 37,000 miles on it. Low mileage but getting a bit up there in years thus the reason I sought out this board--hoping to keep her til at least 100,000. This is a great thread as it's given me hope that my little Dodge might actually last me a lot longer. Thanks!
