Default No Turn Signals

When I turn on either side signal, the flasher makes a sort of electrical humming sound, and no blinker lights come on. Obviously I replaced the flasher, this did not solve my problem. It also is not a blown fuse. So before I go buy a new signal switch ( this switch is what dodge calls a Multi Function switch part # 5073045AB, it includes w/wiper controls as well as blinkers, fog lamps, and hazzards. My point a little spendy.[:@]) I wanted to ask the experts what your thoughts are? If I turn on either side blinker as I mentioned it makes the noise, but also if I move the blinker switch ever so slightly still in either side blinker, "on" position, the humming will start and stop. That is why I am led to the switch.

Any help welcome,

Thanks in advance!!

The noise is coming from the flasher unit, this plugs directly into the Multifunction switch in the steering column.
I am leaving work now to try to fix it, I will let you know if this fixes the problem
