when you replace your battery or unhook it for a while, when you went to hook it back up did your alarm go off? Mine did and my head was directly over the siren, couldn't hear for about 20 minutes

Yep they will do that, its a good idea when you disconnect and reconnect the batery to have they alarm button with you, but you already learned that. There are some alarms that will go off when you disconect the battery, they have a back-up battery of course.

Mine doesn't do that.

But then again, I'm smart, I put the alarm in "limp" or Valet mode before I disconnect the battery.

TJ, your alarm should have a Valet mode. Try holding both the unlock and lock button down at the same time, it should beep a few times then the dash light will stay on.

If that doesn't work there should be a button under the dash you can hold for like 10-30 seconds that should disable the alarm.

The button under my dash doesn't work anymore so I have to do the transponder thing.
