Can a battery be ground anywhere on the chassis?
Yeh, title says it all. I'm asking this cause i want to put my battery in the trunk
and the kits that they seel come with like 16ft of power wire but only 20in. of ground wire. so i wondered if i can just ground it to the trunk like an amp.

Yes, you can. however, go get some more grounding cable. It's generally called welder's cable and you can get it at supply stores. You will also want to run a ground from the trunk to the engine bay.
Yeah as long as you have good continuity to the engine bay. As crazy said I would run a wire, your starter and alternator put out/draw a good deal of power and without a good ground they won't work right.
