Will a V6 engine/drivetrain mount in the Neon? Just thought I'd ask if anybody has tried or done it and what all was entailed?

 

mmm... I don't think I've ever heard of anyone putting a v6 into a neon, but my guess is that the money + work would not be worth it, take your money and buy a turbo or something.

 

It has been done before. It cost a lot of money and required a lot of customization. In my opinion, it is not worth the time, effort or money to do it.

 

Yeah it can be done. You are gonna need custom fabricated engine and trans mounts, custom half shafts, custom electrical system, I am sure there are 1000 other problems you would run into. The only gain I could see to a V6 over the 4, is being able to get more HP out of the 6 with a turbo set up, if it would fit, and not being able to get that power to the ground anyway.
