Default Newbie with newbie question...

Alright, I finally went out and bought a 03 neon. I wanna start buying parts for my car (exhaust, intake, headers...) but I never see anyting listed for a 03, I see tons of stuff for 02's though. Are they pretty much the same, are Altezza tails gonna fit on my car from the 02's? I went to a dealer and took a look at the difference between the two and found virtually none. Please let me know if these two cars are the same or not. Thanks....

I might be mistaken, but I thought that the 2002 neon's were different than the 2003's? When you go on ebay and look for altezza tail lamps you'll notice that they make some for 00'-02' and then they make some for 03' and up. In my opinion I don't believe that 02' tail lamps will fit onto an 03' or 04'. Could be wrong though.[&:]

i myself just acquired a virtually stock 98 neon r/t... thing is i want to add some serious hp but the original motor has 160 thousand miles... with that mileage im afraid something may go wrong... so what do u all think... should i raise the money to rebuild both top and bottom end or are there ways to check if everything is fine on the motor and otherwise ok to start buyin the basic bolt-ons to set up for the modernperformance turbo stage 2 package... what do you all think...

They do that with my car as well. Which is a 1st gen. They list them as 1995-1998 and then 1999 (mine) being seperate.

You should be ok. My car has 140+k miles on it and I have a turba that will be going in. Just make sure you change the cam and valve springs and eventually down the road if you want more power consider rebuilding the engine. But for 8 pounds of boost you should be alright.

I found the same thing also, the outside roundness I guess you could say, looks about the same, but they list the item in two different categories, so Crazy Squee, are you saying that they should both fit into my 03 neon??

Also, 2004sxt, what did you think about those ones for the 03 and up, I thought something looked a little off about it. Did you buy it? If you have them on ur ride can u post a picture of it... Thanks

I also have a 98, I have always seen parts for my car listed as 95-99. I have seen some engine parts listed as different for 95, but never anything else different for the 99.
