98 neon side lights

I'm planning on putting a set of clear side markers, so what i would like to know is do you just pop out the original ones or do you have to push them to one side or what????any info would be great

on my 03 u have to remove a clip from the back, but on a 98 i'm not sure, climb under and see if there are clips or screws holding it on and then you will know
