Radio Install
I know this is probably something really simple. But I can't find it in the user manual and really don't want to pay somebody to do this for me. How do I remove the old stereo in my '03 neon to install a nicer aftermarket one? The wiring I'm sure I can figure out. No problem. I just have no idea how to get the paneling off surrounding the radio without destroying it.

now, I'm no expert, and it would be a good idea to wait for someone with a neon to answer, but you might be able to simply pull off the front panel, failing that, there's gonna be screws hiding somewhere you need to remove. look around, you'll figue it out I'm sure.
well, that seems to be the problem. it doesn't seem to just pull off. at least not easily without feeling like I'm going to break something. and as far as screws, they seem to be hidden really well. and its dark outside and raining and I don't have a garage. so I guess tonight I'm just not patient enough to search forever.
first of all, pull of your air control ***** (might take some serios tuggin but they pull right out) remove you cigar lighter, then at the top remove the 2 vents above your climate controls, they just pull out as well, behind those vents you will find a couple of phillips head screws, remove those and then the bezel is just held in by clips, pull smoothly you don't want to break it by yanking the top or bottom to hard. once you pull the vents u will see just how easy it is
just take your time, its really easy, after you get the bezel off, just pull the 2 bolt holding the radio in. Then get an installation kit(makes it fit in the stock hole), then a wiring kit and you'll be all set.
