noob here go easy on me i just got a free 96 plymouth neon sohc a/t
heres the questiong will a dohc head fit on the motor or are the blocks
completely diff? if possible what do i need to do this? if not im thinking bout
the whole swap also making it a 5 spd... does some one have a write up for this
or a parts list.. engine, tranny, mounts, axles, ecu, wiring harness, shifter assembly,
clutch cable,pedal assembly? am i missing some thing?

Yes the blocks are the same and yea the head would fit, you would just need to get the DOHC intake manifold, and possible the p/s hoses, they are longer on the DOHC, plus I think that they have a different engine mount, in the 1st gen years they had 2.0L DOHC engines in the cars from factory. You could probably just go to a junk yard and get the head, intake and harness for cheap. The 5 speed trans would also fit just need the different mounts and also you would need the get the ECU from the DOHC to run the engine
