Default sohc head problem

ok guys before i did the 2.4 swap i had a sohc with a rebuilt head and had bigger mopar valves put in, everything worked great & ran awsome. bout 6 months later while it was idling it died and i tried to restart it and it acted like there was no compression and I checked the timing belt and it was still on but extremely tight couldnt even pry it off the cam or even wiggle it so thats when i decided to do the 2.4 swap. well I ported the head and cleaned it up and installed it on my 4 door cause it needed a head gasket and water pump anyways and it did the samething so i took the intake manifold off and all the intake valves were stuck open but when u turn it over everything moves up top i could see the valves was working alone. the exhaust valves are just fine and i just dont get how this can be when the timing belt never broke when i took it off my other motor and i realy want to use it can anybody tell me whats up with this? i just realy want it working i dont see how they can stay open they are all still attatched to the springs and the mopar guys told me they will not bend they are titanium or something please help guys these valves were not cheap.

might want to check cam position. if thats fine then check your timing marks. could have been off a notch. that could be why your belt was so tight too.

Pull the valves andcheck the stem clearances with the guides. If the valve stems are galled up, they got starved for oil. You can check to see if they are bent also, although if there is no whitness mark on the piston, they probably aren't. If they are galled up, you may have a blocked oil passage in the head, or the stem may be oversize. Call the valve supplier and get their recommendation for clearances.
