I have a 2002 Neon SE. The problem I’m having is when the car was parked last night it was running fine. Today I go to start it and it has a hard time starting, and when it is running, it runs very very very rough. There is also a strange noise coming from the Idle Air Control when the ignition is in the ON position. Its a constant beep or buzz sound like beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep sound and stays buzzing until the ignition is tuned back to the OFF position. I have never heard that buzzing sound come from it before. Could this problem be the Idle Air Control?

 

Is it throwing any codes? To check codes, if you don't already know how- put your key in & turn the ignition to on-off-on-off-on-off, 3 times in succession withOUT starting the engine. Any trouble codes will appear where the mileage is. Report back with any codes it gives you.

 

Yep kabuk1, it show P 0508 code. I referenced it and its something to do with the Idle Air Control. Im going to replace it and see if that takes care of it.
