if ur looking for a good reliable car i have had no problems with mine and it runs great for a car with 80k+ miles. most cars are good depending what you are looking for. these type cars i have found out all come different option wise. abs is optional, power locks, sun roof, and many other things. so when u look for one and u want some of those things you have to look cuz most aren't standard. atleast they aren't for 1995-1999. im not sure about 2000+ you gotta ask some one with one.

^^^ this is a good site to compare different cars.

I had a '96 Chrysler Neon. Really enjoyed it.
I did have an issue with the weather stripping all over the car and this was in 1999. When I first bought it (used) in '98, a friend of mine mentioned to me to keep an eye on the stripping, but I didn't think much of it at the time.

I had to take it in also to replace the motor mounts that had broken loose. Keep in mind that there were no modifications done to the car at all. When I got it fixed, which the warranty did cover, the mechanic at the dealership mentioned it was a fairly common issue and said the same thing about the weather stripping....not sure how much truth is in that statement, but thought I would pass it on as a FYI. I was glad I purchased the car and those two things were very minor compared to other car problems some people have to deal with.

In the end I traded it for a small SUV. I miss it so much that I just purchased another one.

I've got 140K+ on my 1999 Neon. I've never had any issues with it and its never broken down. I'd say go for it. They are good little cars.
