Has anyone put a supercharger in there Neon yet ? Is it even possible without alot of $? Also trying to decide on muffler,should i get a tuneable muffler or just a normal straight through type?

id just go with a normal straight threw. i had the tuneable thing on mine, with a silencer. i riped all that cr@p out. it didnt do anything for me. If i only new befor about the passetter cat back id of went with that befor i put the rice can on.

I'm sure someone has, but there isn't any point of putting a supercharger on a neon. A supercharger is belt driven, so its actually going to take power from the engine to make power. As you already know, the neon is not bursting with power stock, so adding yet another thing to draw on the power it does make isn't going to result in a huge power gain. Which is why turbo is the better way to go, not to mention there isn't any S/C kits available for it anyways. Turbo uses exhaust gas, which is something your car produces so its not taking power to make power like the supercharger.

I have never heard of a supercharger on a neon or any other 4 cyl car. Superchargers are more for 6 and 8 cyl cars. Hahns racecraft and Chill Factory both make bolt on turbo kits for the neon.
