sohc to srt conversion
I'm new to neons but I came across a thread talkin bout fittin a conversion plate to a sohc neon I'm lookin for this plate to do a turbo i tried a link from an early post but i need where to get this part without havin to jump from site ta site anyone know who to contact this would be greatly apprecited
its called a mattdog adapter good luck finding one.
you can swap heads, but then you have the whole compression thing whitch could be good if you go turbo tho.

A sohc head on a 2.4L block shoots the compression up pretty high for boosted use. Remember that the sohc engine have a 9.8:1 comp ratio, while the dohc head uses a 9.6:1 comp ratio. A sohc head on a block with dohc pistons yields a 10.3:1 comp ratio, so the 2.4L stoke combine with a sohc head would make the comp ratio in the high 11 to low 12. Hope you are ready for some tuning and custom pistons.
Again, it is cheaper to just use a dohc head.

ORIGINAL: 12 volt
for some reason i was thinking he had a 2.0 SOHC, so with a DOHC head on a SOHC block comp ratio would go down
