i am slowly realizing that turbo is the only way to go. i know some of you have put turbo's on stock engines. i am thinking somewhere between $2000 and $3000 to get everything you need? or am i wrong and its actually closer to $4000. if its really that much i would want to find a used 2.4L turbo out of an SRT, along with a trans and do the swap for what it actually costs to put a turbo on. any ideas here?

 

true true bro the only way to make your car really faster is to throw a turbo on it.you have an r/t so you have the dohc motor(150 hp)right?

 

yeah im pretty sure its rated at 150 horses at the crank, but mines an 04, so its a SOHC.i just read someone elses post on an SRT4 swap, and it said $5500. but i read it and it sounds like they do the swap for you. has anyone ever gotten a used SRT4 with a tranny, out of a junk yard? i mean i know those cars are fast, and the ones that drive like retards total them. guess some people dont realize how fast they really are.[sm=icon_beat.gif]

 

Just remember when you do the swap you have to change the computer as well. And good luck finding a good usedsrt-4 motor and trans
