Default over heating problem

I need some help... When the car is moving the temperature gauge reads fine. when I stop at a light or stop sigh it starts to overheat. Then when i start going again it goes down. I changed the thermostat, had the water pump replaced in the last week so fluid is good. I also made sure the fans are working. After having the water pump replaced it didnt do it for about a week and it has done it 2 times today feb 28... if anybody know why it is doing that or what to check next please let me know thanks

I would think it would be the fan or low coolant. It is normal for it to go up a slight bit but not a lot.

If its overheating at a stop and not when your moving, its either: clogged radiator, bad thermostat, water pump, low coolant, or a bad fan or fan sensor. Thats really all it can be

yeah in one of my old cars i had that same problem, it ended up being the motor in the fan. once i replaced that it fixed it, kinda... that car had alot more problems than just the fan. but that is def something to check

Yup check the fan because you loose airflow when stopped. Clean you raditor too. If you have A/C then check between the A/C condensor and the radiator too. Whe it is starting too get warm turn on the A/C and see if that lowers the temp If so then would definitely check your primary cooling fan n back of radiator. Most likely source of a problem.
