Default Left Turn Signal Malfunction???

Hello,

On my 1995 Plymouth Neon I'm having a strange electrical problem. About a week ago the left turn signal stopped working, when the light and or parking lights are engaged. The turn signal works correctly when the lights are not engaged but the second I turn the lights on with the left turn signal (or engage the hazard lights) the turn signal stops blinking. The left turn signal is lit up on the dash, which would indicate a faulty turn signal bulb, but the bulb is fine. I've checked the fuse as well as the light switch and havn't found any problems. The other issue is that when the turn signal is working (the lights are off) the radio light as well as the dash board light, blink with the left turn signal. I think I have a short somewhere, but have no idea where to start looking. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

John, I feel your pain, am also having an electrical problem on my Neon, but not as weird

Problem:
On my 1999 Neon, the left rear turn signal/brake bulb won't light up. The left hand turn signal at the front of the cars works fine, just blinks about twice as rapidly. That is also indicated on the dash, which is how I knew there was a problem with the bulb.

What I've done so far:
I replaced the bulb at the rear left with a new one, but it is still not lighting up (for signaling or braking). The old bulb (as far as I can tell) does not look burnt out. I checked the fuses, no problem there either. I'm not sure if that bulb is even getting any juice.

Possible plan of action:
1. Check original bulb on other side?
2. Check to see if left side is getting any juice?

Would those pieces of info help? Where do I go from here?

Thanks in advance,

Adam.

hey- check for a good ground from your dash to the cars frame- also check from the engine to the cars frame- this sounds like a bad ground!!!!
