o hrm... i don't really know any thing about the canada area lol.. but weather factors could play a fact in rust even if the car was kept in good condition so basically you have to look deeper for problems.
Myself being from rust country, I can offer a few cautions:
- There is a steel coolant line that runs acrossed the front of the block. These are very prone to rusting out. I don't think the replacement is overly pricey but it doesn't look all that fun to change.
- I see the engine has the stamped steel oil pan, these also can be prone to rust. I think you can switch to the later aluminum pan.
