Default purchasing trunk carpet

hey,

i recently repaired a leak that ruined the interior carpet in my 98 neon. i've called a couple places and they simply don't sell the trunk carpet. my local dodge dealership sells the oem carpet, but i'd like to see if i can get a better price elsewhere. any suggestions?

thanks!

Rip it out at a junk yard.... its not hard at all just pull the back seats out and the rest should just pull out. mine also has a leak on the back window and the trunk lid from the accident which i still have to fix..... its a bitch to keep drying up water after the rain...

raydog26, thanks for the money-saving suggestion. but i think i'm going to go with new carpet... after i gutted the interior, i actually spent some time bleaching the floor pan, cleaning the seats, etc. just makes me wanna go with new parts.

btw, i was surprised to see how much water my car retained after i pulled the carpet up. i thought i did a pretty good job with my wet-vac but the cushiony stuff underneath the carpet acts like a sponge and just retains the water. there was about a half inch of water and it was absorbed all the way up to the bottom of the dash.

yeh i had that same problem... i stuffed like 20 towels under it and let it sit for a few hours and it absorbed most if not all the water. but every time is rains it comes back.. i hope to get to a junk yard in the next week or so to get the parts i need to finally fix the problem.
