Hey wut is the difference between NEON ACR and LIKE AN LE I know the RT has a magnum ? or a 150hp motor?
and are AEM CAI any good?

 

difference between the acr and r/t on a 2nd gen neon? suspension mainly... and the acr tends to weigh less. both have the magnum engine.

Yup. On the 2nd gen, both have the 150ish HP Magnum engine. Same computers, rev limiter, speed limiter, exhaust setup, etc. The other 2nd gen Neons have the same 128 HP SOHC that came in the '96-up Neons ('95 was the only SOHC that actually made 132 HP). They also both have 4-wheel disc brakes w/ABS as opposed to rear drums and no ABS on other models. Both have the Performance MTX tranny (ATX not available) with the 3.94 final drive as opposed to the 3.55 final drive on the other MTX models.

The R/T and the ACR have the same spring rates (150 lb/in up front, 120 lb/in in the rear), but the ACR's have Dynamic Suspension adjustable struts (single **** for compression and rebound). IIRC, the rear sway is a tad beefier as well.

They are also the same for the 1st gen neon too. The only diff is that the acr has the adjustable struts and pretty much gutted out.

 

almost. the 1g acr had thicker hubs, no speed limiter (the rt has one), bigger rear sway bar.. and of course, the r/t had slightly different interior... theres more differences too, like the r/ts came with some alloy rims that none of the other model neons came with.. and of course, the stripes.
that and the acr could be either sohc or dohc, while all r/ts were dohc.
